The Most Important Curve to Flatten is Our Waistlines!

This is a gem of a quote taken from Dr. Tro Kalayjian @doctortro during a recent conversation on @carnivoremd's podcast "Fundamental Health" (available on iTunes, YouTube, etc.) in which they discussed his perspective on coronavirus as a physician seeing patients just outside of NYC.

He’s absolutely right about this statement.  Our underlying metabolic/nutritional health is the single biggest determinant in our response to immunologic insults.  Why this isn’t the message in the mainstream media (and instead we are bombarded with hysteria talk) is the subject of much debate and consternation, but it appears that fear and hysteria sell and that telling people that diet/lifestyle is the biggest lever in health and disease just isn’t sexy.  As they say in TV media, "If it bleeds, it leads."  What strange and sad times we are living in.

While agribusiness can make money with junk food they will, and until the mainstream messaging is consistent that these foods are the single BIGGEST driver of disease, and that metabolic disease is at the root of so many chronic illnesses, nothing will change!  This is what we fight for my friends. Onward to the tipping point!
